GameStop CEO Paul Raines recently spoke with investors during an earnings call, and the subject of Nintendo Switch came up several times. In addition to predicting that Nintendo Switch could be a game-changer that widens the gaming audience, Raines highlighted consumer interest in the upcoming console.

According to GameStop’s surveys, 27% of their PowerUp Rewards members who are aware of Nintendo Switch intend to buy the console. This number is equivalent to Xbox One’s pre-launch interest level, but GameStop believes the percentage could increase after the Nintendo Switch presentation in January.
