Since its initial release on PlayStation 4 and PC over the summer of 2015, the craziness that is Rocket League saw its popularity propelled to newer heights with its high-octane soccer-meets-rocket cars gameplay. The game quickly gained recognition as an eSport through an officially sponsored tournament league and received several accolades from the BAFTA Game Awards yesterday, and with developer Psyonix poised to tear down online barriers between consoles with cross-platform compatibility, the gaming community at large will continue to have fun with Rocket League for years to come.

With such fan fervor behind the game naturally comes with many a dedicated tribute, such as this animation by YouTuber

Jeffrey is a writer for Gamnesia and The Sonic Stadium, and a pianist obsessed with video game music. Loves all things Nintendo to a fault, and enjoys long walks on the Green Hill Zone. Pretty much Gamnesia's resident Sonic fan, my dude.
