A fan has sent their Nintendo Switch back in time and customized it to look like a Super Famicom. This extensive mod covers every nook and cranny of the console, including both sides of the dock and both sides of the console itself; even the Joy-Cons and Grip get their own skins.

The Super Famicom, for those unfamiliar with it, is the original version of the SNES console released in Japan. The version of the SNES released in Western countries had a less colorful gray and purple color scheme.

The fan in question explains that each piece of the skin is custom-made and that all of the pieces fit together without affecting functionality. You can take a look at the customized console in detail in the gallery below.

While this is really cool, remember to be careful if you’re considering putting skins on your Switch. The Switch doesn’t always play nice with people sticking things to it.

How do you like this Switch skin? Do you think Nintendo should come out with special edition themed Switch consoles? Let us know in the comments!
