Sales data from the Xbox One, A Link Between Worlds, Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Party: Island Tour launch are in for their “first week” on the market, though the sales data only really counts one day of sales given the data is from the week that ended on the 23rd. That means that A Link Between Worlds had a pretty good launch, moving 294,551 units in the United States along with 119,487 units in Europe. Super Mario 3D World understandably had a smaller debut given the smaller install base of the Wii U compared to the 3DS. The Wii U also had its best week of sales in a while, and we finally can see the exact breakdown of how the Xbox One launch sales fared.

Long story short, Xbox One had a great launch day, and
Zelda performed decently well for one day on the market. Oh, and the 3DS is still raking the sales ship across all territories. Sadly, the Wii U’s bump in sales still couldn’t outpace the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The next sales update should be really telling for holiday sales in North America, since it will include Black Friday.

I am the current Editor-in-Chief of Zelda Informer and have been running the show here since July 16th, 2008. I've actually been running Zelda Fan sites since 1998, so I've been in this "industry" for roughly 16 years. I'm 28 years old and have two kids, one biological, the other more of a step daughter (not legally yet, but practically). I live with my girlfriend and our two kids (Aiden, age 1 and half, Melody age 3 and half). I'm attending college to create video games web applications, and I naturally love Nintendo (I run a Zeld a website after all!). For those curious, I currently own a Wii U, Xbox One, 3DS, PlayStation 3, and a gaming PC (and a gaming capable laptop too!). I do plan to eventually get a PlayStation 4, likely when more comes out I am interested in playing on the system. I do play the Wii U more than any other system I own.
