Earlier this week, Hello Games stated that they are working hard to fix various bugs found in No Man’s Sky through future downloadable patches. The first of these updates released today, and while there are no official patch notes, Sean Murray of Hello Games said that it fixes overall performance issues and improves framerates on the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game.

Murray also said that only about 1% of all players had filed a complaint about bugs in the game. While that may not seem like much, Murray explained that even 1% of users is a large number. While many people want to see new features added to the game, Murray says that patching the game and helping with customer service is currently the main priority of the studio.

In various support emails, Hello Games has confirmed that a second update will be coming next week that will further improve No Man’s Sky

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
