Many eager fans were left disappointed and frustrated when Konami announced the cancellation of the highly-anticipated Silent Hills game from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. Not long after it got the ax, an indie project called Allison Road surfaced with ambitions of filling the void left behind by Silent Hills. The developers first went to Kickstarter for funding, then later cancelled the crowdfunding campaign and signed with publisher Team17.
It’s been a long time since we received any substantial news on the progress of
Allison Road, and the official Twitter page for the game went completely silent for months. We finally have an update on the game today, but unfortunately it’s the revelation that Allison Road has been cancelled. No explanation has been given at this time, but a more official statement will be issued sometime “in the next few days.”
