Earlier this month, the developers of Allison Road announced the game had been cancelled. Following the cancellation of Silent Hills, many had hoped that Allison Road would fill that void, but it does not look like it was meant to be. The developers recently released a statement regarding Allison Road‘s cancellation, stating that they had ended their partnership with publisher Team17 on mutual terms. Strangely, the statement does not specifically explain why Allison Road was cancelled.

“Hi all,

“After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.

“Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity. We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support throughout, it has and will always be appreciated!”

Considering that months passed by without any brand new information, it is no surprise that
Allison Road got cancelled. It would have been nice for the developer to explain the exact reason for this, though. What did you think of their released statement? Sound off in the comments below!
