Niantic originally announced that the Pokémon GO Plus would release in June, but the device’s launch was delayed so the company could improve optimization with the game. The companion device finally launched on Friday, but Android users seem to be having some issues with it. Several Reddit threads revealed that the device is pairing with their phones for a few minutes, then randomly disconnecting. Furthermore, on another thread, an Android user said they were also experiencing lag with the accessory.
Niantic is rolling out another Pokémon GO update soon which will fix some issues with the Pokémon GO Plus. Hopefully this will resolve the problems Android users have been experiencing.
