Amiibo cards are Nintendo’s answer to Amiibo shortages, and they will be coming out with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. However, Nintendo seems to have stabbed itself in the legs again, as it has decided to release alternate versions of the cards exclusive to specific retailers and publishers.

Right now the only exclusive card announced is for Isabelle, and it is exclusive to a Japanese magazine. Will Nintendo continue to make alternate cards? Probably. Will consumers be happy about this? We will have to wait and see.

How do you feel about Nintendo’s decision to make exclusive variants of Amiibo cards?
