Apple Rejected The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on iOS Because of “Violence Towards Children”

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth initially released on PC, PS Vita, and PlayStation 4 at the end of 2014, then launched several months later on Xbox One, 3DS, and Wii U. Over the past couple of weeks, Nicalis’ founder, Tyrone Rodriguez, has been teasing pictures of the game’s venture to iOS. Unfortunately, he has revealed that Apple has rejected launching the game on the app store due to “content or features that depict violence towards, or abuse of, children.”

The aim of the game is to escape from Isaac’s mother, who wishes to sacrifice him to prove her faith in God, so Apple’s view is understandable. However, the game is now on most platforms, including Nintendo’s. Nicalis is now trying to find a way to help get The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth onto the App store, but it doesn’t look very hopeful.
