Ladies and gentlemen, we here at Gamnesia have a few very special announcements to make. At long last, we have managed to get our user account system up and running, so you can finally
register your very own Gamnesia account! You may be asking yourself, “Why would I want to do such a thing?”, but there are some pretty interesting upsides to it all. First of all, you can post comments on our articles without having a separate Disqus account. Secondly, you will be able to use Gamnesia’s brand-new forums and send private messages to other users you’d like to talk to. Finally, you can start posting your own content using our new Journals feature!

Gamnesia User Accounts

Let’s start with registering for a user account. Registering is a fairly straight-forward process—simply sign up right here at this link (which you can also find at the top of the website), and you’re good to go!

Having an account on Gamnesia also means you can comment on our articles without having to create a separate account on Disqus! But if you already had a Disqus account before registering with Gamnesia, don’t fret! You can actually merge the two accounts into one! After registering on Gamnesia, simply head over to Disqus’ website, make sure you’re logged, and hit “Edit Profile.” Once you’re in there, you’ll notice a tab labelled “Merging.” If you click it, you should see your Gamnesia account on that list. Simply click the button to merge accounts, and
bam, it’s all taken care of in one easy, cohesive place! Just make sure you use the same email address on Disqus as you use for Gamnesia, or else it won’t recognize that you’re able to merge accounts. And hey, if you don’t want to register on Gamnesia, you can still use your Disqus account the same as before.

Gamnesia accounts also work at our sister site, Zelda Informer, which means if you have an account here, you can log in at ZI, and vice-versa! So if you already have an account at Zelda Informer, you can use the same login information here at Gamnesia and get started right away!

If you sign up, please remember that that means you’re agreeing to our
Terms of Service. Our policies are pretty loose and down-to-earth, but in case you’re still worried, now’s your chance to read what you’re signing up for, before you get started with…

Write your very own Gamnesia articles with our new Journals feature!

Have you ever wanted to have your own little gaming blog, but never knew where to begin, or worried that nobody would end up reading it? Well, we’re here to fix that. With our new Journals feature, you can write articles for your own gaming blog to share with all the other Gamnesia users!

In the main index at the top of the site, you’ll see a “Journals” tab, where you can go to read all the Journal Entries published by Gamnesia users—members and staff alike. Or, if you’d like to follow a blog by a specific user, you can go to their member profile to see all of their previously-published entries.

With this new Journals feature, we hope to provide a space for aspiring writers and gaming enthusiasts to share their thoughts, hone their skills, and interact with the communities they love, without the hassles of registering a domain, promoting traffic, or the other difficulties that come with running an independent website. What’s more, we’ll be featuring the best journal entries on the main pages of the site—so if you have a piece of work that you’re very proud of, and you want the world to know, just send us a message and we’ll happily consider featuring it.

And though this is a gaming site first and foremost, we encourage you to write about whatever’s on your mind—be it movies, music, or your personal life. Anything you feel like sharing is welcome, so if you’ve always wanted to start a blog, but never knew where to begin, Gamnesia is now the place for you. Likewise, if you know anyone in the same boat, refer them to our site, and we can help them get started!

To get started writing your very own blog, or just to spread some thoughts about the world with your fellow users, sign in to Gamnesia and follow this link! You can also find the “New Journal Entry” page at the top of the website at any time if you’re logged in.

If you’d like to get a better sense of what journals are all about, and how users and staff members can use it, why don’t you read our first journal entry?

Gamnesia’s Forums Are Finally Here!

With all that taken care of, let’s check out the forums! Unlike the comments sections in our articles, you can start topics on anything you want, ranging from general gaming to more specific topics, and even plenty of non-gaming things that may be on your mind. We also have a few community boards that you should check out. Personally, I recommend The Lounge.

The forums are an awesome way to keep in touch with your favorite members of the community, from the big-wig staff members down to the newest Gamnesia readers, and because you can talk about so much more than just news, it’s a fantastic way to get to know other people from the community, and take part in all kinds of interesting discussions!

And do you know what the best part is? This is all live right now! What are you waiting for? Get registered! Start chatting! Start writing! Join the Gamnesia Fun Club today!
