Atlus is bringing back a fan-favorite Shin Megami Tensei game, Strange Journey, to Nintendo 3DS. Now titled Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, the game is a remake of the DS game and will feature extra content. This includes extra story content with a new character named Alex, who will directly oppose the main character throughout the game.

In the past, Atlus has added voice acting to their 3DS remakes of DS games. At this point in time, though, it’s unclear if Deep Strange Journey will feature full voice acting itself. The trailer implies that it will get the same treatment, but this is all speculation for now.

This is a big year for Shin Megami Tensei fans. Persona 5 is just a few weeks away, and a brand new main series entry is also in the works for Nintendo Switch. Atlus is making sure that everybody gets their fill of the popular RPG series this year. If you want to check out the trailer for Deep Strange Journey, you can watch the video above!

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
