In 2004, Bandai Namco released Katamari Damacy to critical and commercial success in North America. This third-person puzzle-action game made players roll a highly-sticky ball called a “katamari” around different locations and collect as many objects as you could until the katamari became a star. According to a recent post from NeoGAF user ekim, Bandai Namco has now filed a trademark for “Amazing Katamari Damacy” to the European Union Intellectual Property Office, which is the European Union’s main trademark registration catalog. The trademark was filed under Class 9 for software, Class 41 for online game software, and Class 28 for toys.
