Good timing, Sony, I was just getting bored of playing nothing but Resogun on my PlayStation 4, and now you’ve gone and announced a whole slew of new games coming to the PlayStation Instant Games Collection in January. It’s a pretty big one too. Starting in January, PlayStation Plus members will have free BioShock Infinite, DMC Devil May Cry, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons on PlayStation 3; Don’t Starve on PlayStation 4; and Worms: Battle Island and Smart As… on PS Vita. Not even the AAA games have sequels this time! (/hyperbole)

Don’t Starve has most piqued my personal interest because I’ve been vaguely interested in it for a while and haven’t actually purchased any games for my PlayStation 4 yet. That said, I just got Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons in the Steam Holiday Sale and to me it seems pretty much unplayable with a keyboard, so I’ll probably be giving that one a go on my PlayStation 3 as well. I don’t have a a PS Vita, so I definitely won’t be trying those two.

Which PlayStation Plus games are you planning to try out this coming January?

Our Verdict

I write editorials here at Gamnesia and occasionally some news (though far less often than I used to). Here's some of my work, long-form game essays, if you have any interest in that sort of stuff: The Amount of Content in a Game Has Nothing to do with its Price A Game's Atmosphere is Defined by its Mechanics, Not its Aesthetic The Witcher 3's Introduction is Terribly Paced and Too Restrictive of its Players I'm looking forward to The Last Guardian (had it pre-ordered since 2010), Rime, Night in the Woods, and Vane. If I had a niche, it would probably be the somewhat higher fidelity indie games, as take up most of the spots on that list. I'm also developing a no-budget video game with a friend, and you can follow me on Twitter (@TheVioletBarry) to hear about that and anything else I feel like saying. Film, games, it's that sort of stuff.
