A recent update on the Sony Computer Entertainment official website for Bloodborne revealed how multiplayer will function for the upcoming game. Thankfully, a full translation has been provided by Gematsu for the entire world to know what they can expect from From Software’s gothic adventure. Bloodborne multiplayer appears to function similar to the Dark Souls series: players can search for other people to join their party to take on bosses or host their own game to allow random players to assist them. If they desire to only have friends join their escapades, then specific passwords for that single game can be exchanged to allow only those players to join.
PvP in Bloodborne will also follow the same path as Dark Souls. Once a cooperative game is set up, players will be able to invade other players’ games and duel with them. The winner of the duel will be rewarded with something along the lines of new items or experience points. It is also stated on the site that a “day one update” will be applied to optimize multiplayer and online performance.
