Back in 2012, publisher Square Enix teamed up with developer Silicon Studio to create a charming 3DS-exclusive RPG titled Bravely Default. Inspired by Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, Bravely Default achieved praise from reviewers and sold over a million copies. Silicon followed it up with a sequel called Bravely Second: End Layer last year, and they recently brought it to the West.

Bravely Second participated in a Q&A session during a recent panel at PAX East, and co-producer Masashi Takahashi was asked about the possibility of a third game. While he noted that it’s against company policy to make any kind of announcement, Takahashi went on to reply that he’d “love” to return to the Bravely universe in the future.
