Many analysts have stated that the incredibly lucrative Call of Duty franchise has peaked, and that its sales will likely begin to decline. That remains to be seen in the long term, but for now the popular shooter is still king.
Activision reports that Advance Warfare is the “biggest entertainment launch of the year,” bringing in more money right out of the gate than any other video game (sorry, Destiny), movie, musical album, or book in 2014.
