Dengeki PlayStation published its 600th edition this week, and to celebrate there was a massive Q&A with different developers from Capcom. One portion of the interviews dealt with games currently in development, and despite what most fans were hoping for there seems to be a lack of focus toward a new Devil May Cry title or an offline mode for Dragon’s Dogma. There is, however, effort being put into Resident Evil 7.

The segment, translated by Siliconera, read as follows:

“Q: And what about Resident Evil 7?

A: We’re currently not at a state to talk about it… but please stay tuned.

Q: Are there plans for any spinoff titles or anime for Sengoku Basara?

A: I’d like to do those, but it’s undecided for now.

Q: What about plans for a new Devil May Cry or a new offline Dragon’s Dogma?

A: They’re also things I’d like to personally do, but there are no plans [for now].”

It seems there is a push for Resident Evil 7, despite Resident Evil 6‘s reception being rather bad.

Alan Wake changed my life forever. I'm not afraid to admit my undying love for Animal Crossing. I plan to devote my life to writing and art. I have been playing video games since about the age of three and they have stayed my greatest passion. I began writing in high school through poetry and became interested in writing as a career going into college.
