Capcom’s Ace Attorney series has been a big hit on Nintendo’s handheld systems, and last year the team took a break from Phoenix Wright and the present day to make a spinoff set in Japan’s Meiji era with Phoenix’s ancestor. The Great Ace Attorney never came to the West (for reasons that they’ve never really explained), but it still apparently did well enough for them to greenlight a sequel. This morning at Tokyo Game Show, Capcom revealed that they are creating The Great Ace Attorney 2, complete with the return of Phoenix’s ancestor Ryūnosuke Naruhodō and his investigative ally, Sherlock Holmes.
You can see the reveal trailer above! Right now no consoles have been announced, nor has a release date, but hopefully we’ll hear more about those soon. Are you excited for this sequel? Will we ever get it and its predecessor here in the West? Let us know in the comments!
