Certain Smash Bros. Wii U Stages Will Have Special Conversations Like Snake Codecs

0

Hot from the Super Smash. Bros for Wii U 50-Fact Extravaganza edition of the Nintendo Direct comes some really interesting news! Apparently on select stages there will be a very unique feature, similar to Snake’s Codec Calls on the Shadow Moses Island stage in Brawl. The stages mentioned in the Direct are Palutena’s Temple, from Kid Icarus Uprising, and the Lylat Cruise, from Star Fox.

The conversations on Palutena’s Temple can be executed by using Pit’s down taunt, initiating a conversation between Pit and Palutena, or Pit and Viridi, regarding the opposing character, very similar to how Snake would speak to Mei Ling and Colonel Campbell in
Brawl. Guest characters will also join some of the conversation, like Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening, but we don’t know what the conditions for this are. The conversations on Lylat Cruise will be executed if a player selects either Fox or Falco and will happen randomly, but will also regard the opposing character. This seems to be done as a nice feeling of ambiance and theming similar to the game that the characters came from, again very similar to Snake’s Codec Calls, and it’s great to see them being added back into the game.

Let us know what you all think! Do you like the addition of these into the Wii U version of the game, or do they add nothing really to the overall experience? Let us know in the comments below!
