Even though a multiplayer Kirby action game is coming to 3DS this holiday season and other eShop titles are launching this year for the puffball’s 25th anniversary, Kirby just got even more love in Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight. A brand new Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch has been announced for a 2018 release!

Kirby for Nintendo Switch draws heavily from Kirby’s Return to Dreamland and brings it to life in HD glory. Multiplayer co-op will fittingly return, and even in single player, Kirby can recruit series enemies to his side. Baddies like Burning Leo, Sir Kibble, and Poppy Bros. Jr. can team up with Kirby and use their various abilities. Players can also play as the characters just like in Kirby Super Star!

The game also features a three-dimensional world map and the combined abilities similar to those in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. As such, there is plenty of reason to get excited over Kirby for Nintendo Switch, so be sure to watch the trailer above!

Hey all! I've been a gamer since I was three. I'm one of those people with gaming so ingrained in them that watching my father play Super Mario 64 is actually my first memory I can recall. I love writing too! I'm writing an original fantasy series that takes place in another universe; it may take some inspiration from some of my favorite franchises. I've been a journalist for a few years, have worked on local and national teams, and have garnered experience assigning stories, editing, writing, interviewing, hosting a television series, running a YouTube channel, and doing other stuff that's more fun to mention in conversation. Bios can drag on. Anyway, I'm super stoked to be a part of the Gamnesia team! Thanks for having me!
