CoroCoro’s Splatoon Manga is Being Adapted Into a Web Anime

A number Nintendo IPs have seen their fair share of cartoon animations through the years, but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a new one. Splatoon is changing that, thanks to the popular Japanese magazine CoroCoro, whose manga adaptation of the beloved game is about to hit YouTube as an anime.

The manga focuses on the adventures and battles of four different characters, each named after certain aspects of their outfits—Goggles-Kun, Headphones-Chan, Glasses-Kun and Knit Cap-Chan—while also including some of the game’s beloved NPCs as side characters. Bringing a comedic story to the game’s competitive Turf Wars and, potentially, Hero Mode, the series will come to YouTube on August 12th.
