FromSoftware’s Dark Souls is getting the remaster treatment for modern platforms, and publisher Bandai Namco previously announced a May 25th release date. Unfortunately, there’s been a slight change of plans. Most versions of Dark Souls Remastered will still launch on the previously announced date, but Nintendo Switch fans are going to have to wait a little longer.
Bandai announced today that both the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered and the accompanying Solaire of Astora amiibo have been delayed. The two items are now planned to launch sometime this Summer, although we don’t yet have a specific release date. Bandai did not explain the reason for the delay, other than to say that “the extra time will improve your journey to Lordran.”
The Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to Summer 2018, as well as the Solaire of Astora amiibo. We apologise for the delay but rest assured, the extra time will improve your journey to Lordran.
PC/PS4/X1 versions is still coming 25th May 2018.
