Project Leader of Mighty No. 9 Keiji Inafune decided to give us an update on the status of the Mega Man styled game in the spirit of the new year. Development studio, Comcept, posted a video to their YouTube channel with Inafune discussing where the game is at.

Inafune was happy to announce that most of Mighty No. 9 is complete and the team “is heading into the porting and promotional stage.” He emphasizes that the team is working hard up until the release date in spring, which would probably mean bug-stomping and more trailers and live-streams are the focus of the team from this point on.

There is a slight amount of gameplay at the start of the video, but it is highly similar to the gameplay shown before now. It does display the “frustration of defeat” the game hopes to challenge players with, however.

Mighty No. 9 and all its Mega Man like glory is expected to be released in April of this year. How do you feel about the challenging platformer? Let us know in the comments below!

Alan Wake changed my life forever. I'm not afraid to admit my undying love for Animal Crossing. I plan to devote my life to writing and art. I have been playing video games since about the age of three and they have stayed my greatest passion. I began writing in high school through poetry and became interested in writing as a career going into college. I hope you enjoy reading what I post and to keep up with me follow me on Twitter or Instagram @artisticishalex. Peace.
