Live right now on Kickstarter, Justin Gaskin of Vancouver, Canada has launched the “tripleShock,” a wireless battery enhancement for the DualShock 4.
Some PlayStation 4 users have wanted to find way to extend the battery life of their DualShock 4. Some have even taken to dissembling the entire controller to replace the internal battery with one that holds a longer charge. Justin Gaskin, however, endeavored to find a way for anyone to be able to extend their DualShock 4’s battery life that doesn’t require you to have electrical engineering degree, or be proficient in arts and crafts to do so.
What he came up with was the “tripleShock,” a battery and accessory harness that clips onto the DualShock 4 controller. It runs off of three AA batteries, clips comfortably onto your DualShock 4, and can plug into the charging port. From there, it can charge your controller’s internal battery in less than one hour, without having to plug the controller into the console to charge and ruining the wireless experience.
