E3 2016 will be held in Los Angeles from June 14th – June 16th (with press conferences kicking off a day or two beforehand), but one of the biggest players in the industry will not be in attendance. Mega publisher EA has announced that they will be skipping E3 entirely this year, and instead they’ll be hosting a separate press conference on on June 12th at 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
In lieu of a presence on the E3 show floor, they’ll be holding their own event in Los Angeles called “EA Play” from June 12th – June 14th, while a companion event will be held in London on June 12th only. Tickets will have to be reserved in advance, but there won’t be an entry fee. Exact details will be shared at a later date. The EA Play show floor will be open to players on June 13th, and on June 14th (the one day that overlaps with E3) it will be open to members of the industry.
