When 2011’s
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (which we recommended just a few days ago) released, it wasn’t exactly the most technologically advanced game. Sure, the art style carried it a long way, but the actual graphical fidelity was lacking in quite a few areas. Poor facial animations, poor eyes, etc.

However, with next year’s initiative to expand the franchise (named
Deus Ex Universe), Eidos Montreal is aiming to push technology in extraordinary ways. Due to the fact that it is optimized for new generation consoles and PCs, the Dawn Engine will be a beautiful showcase for cutting-edge graphical fidelity.

By being a heavily modified iteration of IO Interactive’s Glacier 2 engine, it is both simple to program for and extremely efficient. You can find the full demonstration image below, and the comments even further.
