Update: This poll originally had Diablo III instead of Diablo. This has been fixed. Please vote again if you already did!

Our match yesterday was one of our most one-sided, with
The World Ends With You dominating our strange bracket—a result this editor can’t say he’s upset about. We would be remiss, however, if we didn’t give Mega Man Battle Network 3 its due, since it did pull over a quarter of the votes submitted. We’ll see how Square Enix’s stylish DS title fares against Tales of Symphonia, Fallout 3, and a title from our final bracket soon, but up next: Dungeon-Crawler-Types!

Today, we’re looking at a few titles that ask players to venture out, whether it’s the unknown world or a dark dungeon, starting with a journey to kill the legendary Diablo itself:
Diablo. Baldur’s Gate 2 keeps the focus on adventures with a D&D inspired approach, and Terranigma tasks players with starting the world anew. Finally, Torchlight rounds it out with a more classic approach and randomized dungeons.

To vote, simply use the poll included above, but be quick! Match-ups in this round only last a day and there’s no going back, so once the poll closes, it’s closed for good. Which of today’s games will make it out alive? Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out, and don’t forget to
visit the tournament’s hub page, where you can find the complete list of contenders, as well as up-to-date standings.

The combatants for the next match-up are:
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Dark Souls 2.

A reminder to readers and votes: Please be civil with one another. This tournament is for everyone’s enjoyment, and we want it to stay fun for all who choose to be involved, no matter which games they support. Those who attack others in the comments will be temporarily banned and, if they continue to do so, will removed indefinitely. We really do not want to do this, so please keep it rated E (or E10), and thanks for your enthusiasm!
