The modding community is a key component of many Bethesda games, so Sony came under fire when Bethesda announced that they were being blocked from releasing mods on PlayStation 4. A month later, this decision was reversed, and Bethesda announced that PlayStation 4 would be getting mod support after all.
Bethesda gave another update on the situation today via Twitter, announcing that an update adding mod support is expected to launch later this month. As previously announced, you will not be able to upload external assets, but you will be able to modify and create your own content by using Bethesda’s Creation Kit.
