With the continuation of its movie saga, Star Wars is currently one of the most buzzing universes in our culture. However, there is so much more to the franchise than just the movies, for many of its games have conquered special places in fans’ hearts. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of such games, and as a testimony to its popularity, a group of fans has decided to remake the entire game using Unreal Engine 4. They have dubbed this endeavor “Apeiron.”

The project is not just a “simple” remake, as its contributors are aiming to go above and beyond. They are planning to add a whole lot of new content to the game, like missions, companions, worlds, items, and even HUD. At the moment it is just in its grassroots stage though, and there is a long road ahead for it to reach any sort of completion. This road isn’t without traps and pitfalls, because Disney might just force the developers to cease-and-desist, even though they do not accept donations and are planning to give the game away for free.

Below you can view some reimagined pictures from the project (note: the last two images are comparison shots), while you can click
here if you want to see the Twitch channel where the developers regularly stream with updates of the project.

Hello everyone! I have been gaming for as long as I can remember. I still feel as enthousiastic about it as when I was a kid, perhaps even more. Though I have fun playing any kind of game, my favorite genre has to be JRPG's. I am also very passionate about Nintendo, I was brought up with their games and they do have a special place in my heart. I am also very passionate about writing, be it stories or articles, and that's why I'll try to do my very best here! P.S. Wario is number 1!
