Gamescom is currently in full swing in Cologne, Germany, and tens of thousands of fans are currently going hands-on with some of the most exciting upcoming video game adventures. Gamescom also holds awards each year, honoring impressive games in over a dozen categories. The votes have all been tallied, and the winners are in!

Unlike many other awards ceremonies, Gamescom has opted not to name one specific champion as the ultimate winner. Instead, it tackles the games both genre by genre and console by console, naming winners on each platform. For Nintendo and Sony, exclusive favorites like Super Smash Bros. and Spider-Man were the big winners, while Ori and the Will of the Wisps (exclusive to Xbox and Windows 10) was Microsoft’s top game.
