It’s that time of the year again; it’s time for VGX, SpikeTV’s annual video games award show (previously known as Spike Video Game Awards). The event is likely set to make headlines again as the end of the year approaches, but as of yet, we don’t actually know when it will take place. Last year’s event took place on the 7th of December, and this year’s show appears to not much different, as the show’s host, Geoff Keighley has made a rather cryptic tweet that appears to hint at the date of VGX; it merely reads “Games Will Rise. 12/5/2014.”

For whatever reason, Keighley’s telling us to mark our calendars. Do you think this is the date of VGX? Leave a comment with your speculations!
