It’s truly amazing how much fans can do for a game or a series, from simply spreading the word and expanding a game’s range of players to drawing amazing art in tribute to a game.

When it comes to keeping in touch with a series’ fans, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar Games, do not disappoint; they have been releasing trailers, new information, and up-to-date screenshots featuring detailed depictions of scenes from the newest game in the series. Instead of simply waiting on the sidelines for Grand Theft Auto V to come out, a fan took it upon himself/herself to put together a map of what they believe Los Santos, the main setting for the game, will look like.

Grand Theft Auto has been around since 1997, and it has left a strong impression on pretty much all of its players. What’s unique about Grand Theft Auto is its content. This series in particular is famous for its violent yet entertaining gameplay and storyline. The plot of the games often casts your character in the role of a criminal or individual who commits criminal acts in order to progress. Developed by Rockstar Games, the Grand Theft Auto games fall under the action-adventure, open-world, and crime genres. The most recent installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV, was released back in 2008 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC (Windows), and Steam. The upcoming game, which is expecting to be released later this year in September, Grand Theft Auto V, is apparently going to be the Rockstar Games’ biggest and most dynamic open-world yet.

Getting back to the fan-made Los Santos map, it should be clear to individuals unfamiliar with Grand Theft Auto that there definitely are reasons to enjoy playing such unique games. The map itself was created by GTAforums user, GTAKiwi, who used their investigative skills to put it together based off of what can be inferred from the trailers and screenshots of Grand Theft Auto V released by Rockstar Games.

What do you think of this fan-created map of Grand Theft Auto V‘s main area? Also, I’m just curious, but have you ever created something in tribute to a video game while anxiously awaiting its arrival? Leave your comments and stories down below!
