A little over a year ago, Take-Two President Karl Slatoff indicated that Grand Theft Auto V would receive story mode DLC, but so far we’ve yet to see it. During Take-Two’s recent earning’s call, CEO and chairman Strauss Zelnick was asked about this, and in turn responded “We haven’t discussed any story-based downloadable content.” While we’re not sure if story DLC will ever happen, Take-Two Vice President Alan Lewis did comment to confirm that Zelnick misspoke, and that Rockstar had previously mentioned story mode DLC. Here is the official statement:
“Strauss misspoke during today’s call, as over a year ago Rockstar Games had said that they were exploring story mode content for Grand Theft Auto V. However, no further information has been released since. As always, we leave it to Rockstar Games to share information about their games when they’re ready.”
— Alan Lewis
We can’t be sure that story mode DLC is still planned, as Rockstar has not mentioned it in quite some time, but it appears that it’s still a possibility at this point. Would you like to see more content added?
