Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year,” opens the “coming in 2014” section of a recent Rockstar Games news post. It appears the smash-hit Grand Theft Auto V and accompanying Grand Theft Auto Online are due for some new content in 2014, next year.

Rockstar briefly mentions that Grand Theft Auto V will be receiving DLC which expands on the “action, mayhem and unexpected adventures” of the game’s main characters, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. As for Grand Theft Auto Online, Rockstar promises they are “working very hard” to finish the ‘co-operative Heists’ and “get them as polished and as fun as they can be.”

“Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including:

GTA Online Heists. We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year.

For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.”

I write editorials here at Gamnesia and occasionally some news (though far less often than I used to). Here's some of my work, long-form game essays, if you have any interest in that sort of stuff: The Amount of Content in a Game Has Nothing to do with its Price A Game's Atmosphere is Defined by its Mechanics, Not its Aesthetic The Witcher 3's Introduction is Terribly Paced and Too Restrictive of its Players I'm looking forward to The Last Guardian (had it pre-ordered since 2010), Rime, Night in the Woods, and Vane. If I had a niche, it would probably be the somewhat higher fidelity indie games, as take up most of the spots on that list. I'm also developing a no-budget video game with a friend, and you can follow me on Twitter (@TheVioletBarry) to hear about that and anything else I feel like saying. Film, games, it's that sort of stuff.
