Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate are among the most anticipated games of this holiday season, according to a recent study by Nielsen. The global information and measurement company released statistics determining the levels of excitement surrounding different games releasing between October and December of 2015. Games were separated into one of seven categories depending on their platform, and then ranked using a percentage.
For Xbox One,
Halo 5: Guardians is the most anticipated, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection tops the charts on PlayStation 4. In the handheld space, Corpse Party: Blood Drive for PlayStation Vita and Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden for 3DS are two of the most anticipated titles. Need for Speed: Rivals, Star Wars Battlefront, and StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void also received very high ratings.
Nielsen accumulated this data by conducting surveys on approximately 4,800 video game consumers with a wide variety of ages. The information was established through a plethora of measurements, including aspects such as consumer awareness, purchase interest, and the consumer’s rating. The multi-platform results are averages from each individual console.
