During the February Nintendo Direct, we received the exciting and surprising news that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is coming to Nintendo Switch. Developer Ninja Theory is now an Xbox-owned studio, but given Nintendo’s cozy relationship with Microsoft in recent months, that’s not an obstacle. It’s also possible that this port began before Ninja Theory was acquired. Either way, it’s great to see it coming to Switch!
At the time of the reveal Nintendo only announced a generic “Spring” release window, but today Ninja Theory got a lot more specific. The developer announced on Twitter today that Hellblade will hit Nintendo’s hybrid console on April 11th. If you don’t have a calendar handy, that’s next Thursday, which is even sooner than most people expected!
