A lot of indie video games were shown off during Nintendo’s Nindies Summer 2017 Showcase for Nintendo Switch, and some were more interesting than others. Super Meat Boy Forever, Shovel Knight: King of Cards, No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again, SteamWorld Dig 2, and Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition all received trailers and release windows, and that only scratches the surface!

Morphies Law was another game that really caught my eye. As a third-person shooter, it really mixes things up with its central gameplay mechanic: being able to steal mass from fellow robotic opponents and use it to grow bigger. Different body parts can shrink and grow depending on where these monstrosities get shot. The team which adds the most mass to its giant overlord avatar wins in the end, but it looks like the real fun lies in how weird you can make the characters look in this quirky title. It’s coming to Switch this holiday season as a console exclusive.

The Nindies continued to show their quirky side with
Yono and the Celestial Elephants, an adventure game in which you control an adorable elephant on its quest. And it was not the only Nindies game to feature animals that caught players’ eyes. Mulaka is a 3D action-adventure game in which you control an indigenous native of Mexico who has the ability to transform into animals in order to help him on his quest.

Hey all! I've been a gamer since I was three. I'm one of those people with gaming so ingrained in them that watching my father play Super Mario 64 is actually my first memory I can recall. I love writing too! I'm writing an original fantasy series that takes place in another universe; it may take some inspiration from some of my favorite franchises. I've been a journalist for a few years, have worked on local and national teams, and have garnered experience assigning stories, editing, writing, interviewing, hosting a television series, running a YouTube channel, and doing other stuff that's more fun to mention in conversation. Bios can drag on. Anyway, I'm super stoked to be a part of the Gamnesia team! Thanks for having me!
