After the announcement of Dragon Quest XI at Square Enix’s presentation event, members of the press uploaded off-screen pictures of the game in action. While it was cool to see a glimpse of Dragon Quest XI‘s gameplay, you could not truly appreciate the game’s detail because of the low-quality screenshots. Luckily, 4 Gamer acquired the first official screenshots of Dragon Quest XI, and they look stunning.

The PS4 version of Dragon Quest XI uses Unreal Engine 4 to create the beautiful and colorful landscapes that you can see below. It’s interesting to note that the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI has a 3D version on the top screen and a 2D/16 Bit version on the bottom screen. According to 4 Gamer, players will be able to switch between 3D and 2D at will. What do you guys think of the newly released screenshots? Sound off in the comments below!
