Scarecrow is making his return and in a big way. It has been a while since we saw anything from Rocksteady’s upcoming game Batman: Arkham Knight, but as of today a new trailer displaying more about the story, characters, and hard-hitting (and really rainy) action has been released by the studio. You can catch a glimpse of Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Penguin, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Commissioner Gordon, and the Dark Detective himself tossed into a maelstrom of gang wars and overzealous maniacs terrorizing Gotham. Not to mention it showcases a bit of that sick Batmobile gameplay that will be featured. The trailer displays a large tone of defeat and doom as Scarecrow proclaims his reign over Gotham, while it exposes you to the chaos and destruction his army is causing.

Another thing to keep in mind is the recent announcement that this entry is going to be rated “M”, which is also confirmed again at the start of the trailer. The Batman franchise has always been an incredibly dark story, but not much “mature” content is displayed in this trailer. It is hinted that Batman uses a gun on the Batmobile to kill a thug during the trailer, and if you know anything about Batman he’s not big into using guns. Though it has been a fair amount of time since I last experienced Arkham Asylum or Arkham City, this game doesn’t seem to be much more intense than those titles. We will have to wait for more information on the game or until it’s release on June 11th to find out.

Are you looking forward to the new title? What do you think about the new trailer? Would Scarecrow running Gotham be that bad (probably)? Let us know in the comments below!
