There’s been a lot of bad news lately regarding the poor treatment of Crytek employees by CEO Cevat Yerli, but thankfully this is not the case at all video game companies. In fact, many companies provide a great work environment where creating games for a living can be fun (as it should be) instead of overwhelmingly stressful. The International Game Developer Association has conducted a survey to see which video game studios are the best to work at, and they compiled a list of the top ten that sees Valve at the top.

There are two generic names on the list, and just one of the “big three” (although Naughty Dog is wholly owned by Sony), and the list includes one relatively small company as well.

Top Video Game Companies to Work At

1. Valve

2. My own company

3. Activision Blizzard

4. BioWare

5. Ubisoft

6. Current employer

7. Nintendo

8. Naughty Dog

9. Double Fine

10. Bethesda Game Studios
