The Pokémon Company is really getting into the Halloween spirit this year. They’ve already begun setting up a special KowaPokémon website that’s dedicated to the spookiest of Ghost Pokémon. Junji Ito, a horror manga artist, is also lending his hand to make those Pokémon all the more creepy. Ito has worked on such horror manga projects like Gyo, Tomie, and Uzumaki.

The area of the website that features Ito is still being worked on, but we do have one glimpse of his terrifying artwork. The illustration features Banette stalking a little girl who is holding onto another doll, which coincides with Banette’s Pokédex entries.

“A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it.” — Pokémon X Pokédex Entry

The images can be downloaded as smartphone backgrounds, and they will also be made into shirts which will then be given away.

As a huge fan of both all things Pokémon and all things horror, this really strikes my fancy. What are your opinions? Does this interest you or frighten you? Let us know in the comments below!
