According to a recent interview with producer Yosuke Hayashi, Hyrule Warriorsrecently revealed Adventure Mode will feature online connectivity.

In the interview, Mr. Hayashi talks about a new online feature called a “Network Link”, which will allow players to add a Link character to the map whose level is based on other users’ play data. Players can then fight alongside this Link to earn special bonuses.

Sounds like an interesting idea for online connectivity. What do you guys think?

Here’s Mr. Hayashi’s full quotation:

“The Adventure Mode features a ‘Network Link’ feature. This allows you to add a ‘Link’ to your maps whose level is based on other users’ play data. If you come to this Link’s aid and fight alongside him, you’ll get access to special bonuses.” — Yosuke Hayashi, Hyrule Warriors Producer

On one side, my love of the Nintendo 64 and my countless hours spent perfecting the first few levels of Super Mario 64 (I was never good enough to get past those...maybe if they release it for the Wii U eShop someday...) resulted in my love for everything Nintendo; meanwhile, I also owned an original PlayStation, which has resulted in me currently owning a PS3 and PS4 for a few Sony exclusives and third-party titles.
