Hyrule Warriors, an action-packed Zelda spin-off designed by Koei Tecmo in the style of Dynasty Warriors, was a hit on Wii U, receiving positive review scores and exceeding sales expectations. As such, Nintendo is re-releasing it on Nintendo 3DS with extra content under the title Hyrule Warriors Legends. The handheld version of the game just launched in Japan, debuting at number three on the weekly software chart with around 54,000 copies sold at launch.
Japanese publication Dengeki has provided a little more information on the launch numbers, reporting that the game had a 60% sell-through rate in its first week. By comparison, the original
Hyrule Warriors on Wii U sold 69,090 copies at launch with a 57.33% sell-through rate.
