Sunset Overdrive was definitely one of the first reasons for anyone to buy an Xbox One back in 2014. The colorful and wacky open world game was, and still is, a culmination of everything that made Insomniac Games, the developer, one of gaming’s most legendary figureheads. Unfortunately, the only real problem for most fans is that you need an Xbox One to play. Nothing against Microsoft’s console of course, but it definitely puts a damper on anyone without one looking to play the game. According to a recent tweet, however, it seems Insomniac is up for putting the game out on PC—they just need an okay from Microsoft.
The tweet was a response to a fan comment on a previous Insomniac tweet, praising new Xbox One S owners for checking out Sunset Overdrive. Due to this previous tweet, we can likely assume Sunset Overdrive is still getting enough support that Microsoft would at least consider putting the game out on PC. It would not be the first time an early Xbox One exclusive made it to Steam either, as Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome were both previously ported. As an Xbox exclusive, there is always the opportunity for a Windows Store release as well. Unfortunately, this is all speculation, and only time will truly tell if Sunset Overdrive makes the jump to PC one day. But, it does seem like a completely plausible thing to happen.

@MegapiemanPHD we'd love it if it could happen but ball is in Xbox's court on it
