Yesterday we reported on a story from Kotaku’s sources suggesting that the long-awaited release of Crackdown 3 is about to get even longer. Kotaku reported that the game (which was officially slated to launch this Spring last time Microsoft spoke up) would be pushed back to 2019. Just one day later, Microsoft has stepped up to confirm the report and offer some more clarity.
Speaking with Windows Central, Microsoft officially announced that
Crackdown 3 has been pushed back to February 2019. The delay, Microsoft asserts, will give the development team(s) time to “deliver the experience they (fans) deserve.” Looks like this one needed a little more time in the oven before it was ready to serve. The game was originally slated to launch last November, but development has been behind schedule for quite some time now.
