We were all saddened to hear that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue would be delayed to January 24, 2017. Fortunately the wait will be worth it, as Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that the game will have 4K support on PlayStation 4 Pro. In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation earlier this week, Tetsuya Nomura mentioned that “the image quality will definitely be beautiful” but did not say if Final Chapter Prologue will be 4K native or upscaled.

“Since it will support 4K, the image quality will definitely be beautiful. Further details about how it’ll support it will be announced later.” — Tetsuya Nomura

In the same interview, Nomura-san mentioned that the announcement of new information for Kingdom Hearts III is currently under consideration and hopes that fans will be patient. Will you be picking up Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue when it comes out in January? Let us know in the comments below!
