Nintendo recently unveiled Kirby: Planet Robobot for 3DS, and it’s already out in Japan. The latest Kirby adventure, which features mechanized invaders attacking Dream Land, debuted at number two in Japan, selling around 144,000 copies by Media Create’s count. Japanese publication Dengeki has offered further insight, revealing that the game sold through 60% of its initial shipment at launch. Kirby Triple Deluxe had very strong launch sales, so it looks like Nintendo shipped in large quantities, expecting a repeat. However, Planet Robobot sold around 70,000 less copies at launch than its predecessor.
