Zelda fans have been clamoring and petitioning for a remake of Majora’s Mask for years now, and Nintendo finally granted that wish on February 13. The results are in, and Majora’s Mask 3D had a very successful launch. In fact, despite being a remake, its opening day sales are substantially higher than the last brand new Zelda game, A Link Between Worlds. The Japanese sales figures haven’t been reported yet, but opening sales of Majora’s Mask 3D are nearly double those of A Link Between Worlds in the US, and they are notably higher in Europe as well.
