Let’s Go Trailer Explains Legendary Battles and GO Connectivity

Game Freak just keeps the goodies rolling! Today we got another new trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch, and this time there was a dual focus. After opening with a shot of Moltres, the trailer dives into features unlocked by connecting to Pokémon GO. After that, it shifts focus back to Moltres and other Legendary Pokémon to show how you’ll capture them.

As previously announced, you’ll be able to transfer Kanto Pokémon (including Alolan forms) from GO to Let’s Go via Bluetooth. These Pokémon will then be stored in a “GO Park.” You’ll have access to 20 GO Parks, and each one can hold up to 50 critters for a total of 1,000. In these parks, you can play mini-games with your Pokémon to unlock candies, like Mighty Candy, Courage Candy, Smart Candy, Quick Candy, Health Candy, and Tough Candy. These can then be used to boost stats.

While most Pokémon in the game will be captured much the same as they were in Pokémon GO (without a battle), Legendaries work a little more like Raid Battles. When you encounter a Legendary, like Zapdos, you’ll have to completely deplete it of its health in order to earn a chance to capture it.
